More than 1,600 COVID-19 vaccines were administered to CCSD21 staff, staff members from neighboring school districts, and eligible seniors in the northwest suburban community on Thursday, March 11, thanks to a partnership between Jewel-Osco and School District 21.

In one of its largest single-day vaccine events to date, pharmacists from Jewel-Osco administered the first dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to more than 1,600 individuals. The second dose will be administered in early April. The effort would not have been possible without CCSD21 staff who facilitated the check-in and registration process.

β€œI want to sincerely thank Jewel-Osco for their extraordinary partnership and all of the CCSD21 staff who worked so hard to make this an extremely smooth and successful event,” said Dr. Michael Connolly, CCSD21 Superintendent. β€œThis was a perfect example of teamwork and positive action to support our colleagues and community.”
